Commitment to Accessibility
Junior Achievement USA (JA USA) is committed to providing equitable access to our services for all students, volunteers, educators, and users, including those with disabilities. We are actively working to improve the accessibility of our digital platforms and learning experiences and meet recognized accessibility standards.
Prioritization of Accessibility Fixes
JA USA is prioritizing accessibility remediation based on platform usage and impact:
- First Priority: High-volume online platforms used by students and educators.
- Next Phases: Smaller platforms, digital documents, interactive tools, videos, and other learning materials.
This phased approach ensures that the most widely used resources are made accessible first, maximizing impact and equity.
Steps Toward Accessibility Compliance
To address accessibility issues, JA USA has taken the following steps:
- Partnered with Accessible Web, a leader in digital accessibility, to audit our platforms.
- Received detailed remediation task lists and compliance matrices for each audited platform.

- Product design and development processes
- Procurement practices
- Quality assurance methods
- Assigned internal accessibility responsibilities and goals.
Timelines for Remediation
- Accessibility audits have been completed for multiple JA USA websites.
- Remediation efforts are underway in collaboration with software vendors.
- More detailed timelines will be developed as vendor engagements progress.
- All new digital development will undergo accessibility review aimed at meeting WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
Requests for Accommodations
We welcome feedback and requests for accommodations. JA USA is committed to responding promptly and can provide available Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs) upon request.
